Your Photo Shoot: The Details
Before the shoot: The Consultation
You will meet with Travis to go over what you want from the photo shoot. Travis will ask questions, make recommendations, and make certain you will be happy with the results.
Some items that will be discussed are:
• Creating a shot list. This will detail any specific photos/groupings you must have
• Location (and possible alternates)
• Scheduling the shoot (and setting an alternate date for outdoor shoots)
• Any special requests you may have
• Deadlines for delivery of proofs and the final product
There is no charge for the consultation. Once the details are agreed and all of your questions have been answered, you will go over the contract and ensure everything is satisfactory before Travis accepts the booking fee.
At the photo shoot
Making great portraits is a collaboration between the photographer and his model(s). Travis understands this and works with you to make the best image possible. This is possible because you're in a place where you feel comfortable — your home, office, or outdoors. Where better to capture the real you than in those places where you're truly at ease and happy?
Travis will check the location with you and have suggestions for groupings, poses, and other compositional details. You should feel free to ask any questions and make suggestions during your shoot. Travis is always happy to explain the whys and wherefores of his craft.
At the end of the shoot, you will pay the remainder of the fee.
You can see examples of Travis's work in his galleries.
After the shoot
You will receive a set of online proofs to review some point after the shoot (on or before the deadline set your consultation). This is where you select the shots you wish to keep. You can make requests for specific edits and retouches at this time.
